On this day, I made the afternoon hike up and over the mountain in blowing sand as the weather threatened. Arriving at the edge, I could hardly see through the dust but the view was none-the-less spectacular. Finally, with the afternoon light starting to dwindle, the wind subsided and the clouds began to part.
As the last bits of sunlight filtered through the clouds, a thin band of clearing opened up on the horizon and it was almost as if I was capturing a moment from the Gods. Standing at the edge of a 700' drop, I silently squeezed the shutter, knowing this bucket list piece was going to be simply...
